WHAT IS YOUR FUNCTION AS AN APOSTILLE AGENT?
An Apostille is a certificate that authenticates the signature(s) on a document(s) for use in a foreign country. The Apostille itself is issued by the Secretary of State where the document(s) originated.
As a notary, your job is to verify signatures of the signer(s).
As an Apostille Agent, you will be the facilitator of the packages sent to the Secretaries of States for Apostille. You will let clients know whether or not the documents need to be notarized or certified, if the documents need to be sent to a Hague Country or a Non Hauge Country, what else might need to be sent, do the documents require translation, how many copies need to be sent, how much are the fees, etc.
